Every four years, the world stands still to watch the FIFA World Cup. This year, however, will be a tournament unlike any other. In addition to taking place amidst the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the 2022 World Cup is being hosted by Qatar, by far the smallest country to ever host the tournament. In this panel, we dig into some of the challenges presented by the host country, including the logistics of ticket sales and lodging, as well as the ethics of traveling to Qatar given its record of human rights violations.
